2001 Leroy NSG Aux Lavieres

1 July 2013: 2001 Leroy, Nuits Saint Georges Aux Lavières:  Medium ruby core.  A very Burgundian nose of tertiary notes: prune, fig, autumn leaves, with animal and savoury notes.  Medium bodied, with a delicate structure of silky tannin and a lively freshness that belies its age.  A very refined village wine, drinking at peak.  Simply delicious!  A little dryness on the finish.  16.5/20
